CARE PROFESSIONAL
Your First Visit to an Acupuncture and Chiropractic Care Professional
Upon entering the office, receptionists will welcome you to your new healing facility. You will be asked to complete a patient intake and health history form. This information provides your treatment professionals with vital information about your condition.
Consultation
Then, you will have a consultation with a chiropractic and acupuncture professional to discuss your health-related issues and concerns. Potential treatment options will also be discussed. The initial visit helps the provider to learn and understand more about you and your condition, and provides expectations about how chiropractic and acupuncture treatments can meet your health goals.
Examination
After your consultation, your care provider will perform a complete chiropractic and acupuncture examination. Your reflexes and flexibility will be assessed. Other neurological, postural, orthopedic, and physical tests will also be performed. Nothing will be done until a full assessment is completed, and your consent is given.
X-Ray Imaging
Depending on your condition, your care provider may order x-rays. These images help to develop the most effective treatment plan for you. They also identify any potentially severe spinal issues. X-rays can also identify spinal misalignments and degenerative spinal discs and joints.
Report of Findings

When all the information is collected, and examinations are performed, your care provider will share a detailed report of the findings. Taking into account your health history, goals, examination, and x-rays, your care provider will discuss recommendations and tell you if your condition requires the services of other healthcare professionals. The answers to your questions will also be provided. Typical questions include:
- How will you help my situation?
- How often will I need to visit my treatment provider?
- What will my care and treatment cost?
Your care provider aims to give you the best treatment and wellness program for your unique needs.
